Fabrice Abriel: "Be at our best to win at Nantes"
The Paris Saint-Germain Women's Team coach gave his thoughts on Saturday's league trip to Nantes.
Coach, the team is on a good run in the league. Does that augur well?
"Winning helps us build confidence. The fact that we're effective in both penalty areas gives us a base to work from. We know that we can't afford any slip-ups in the league, we're aware of the stakes. Not qualifying in the Champions League hurt us, it's in our heads. But we have to move forward and to do that we have to win games and win them in a controlled manner."
How would you asses the standard of the league up till now?
"We'll have to win our games against our rivals at the top of the table. Anyone can have a bad result, you've seen that in the league since the start of the season. The league is a marathon, every game counts. We look forward to playing every match, but we also have the time to work on every aspect of the game."
You're going to Nantes on Saturday. What kind of game are you expecting?
"They have found their feet quickly. They're a well-organised team, they work hard, and play a very special system. They have great momentum and we're playing at the Stade de la Beaujoire. It's going to be an extraordinary event, we're looking forward to it. There's going to be a lot of people in the stands and that's very good news. We know that if we want to win there, we'll have to be at our best, to show a lot of courage, because Nantes will want to get a result against us."
