Eva Gaetino: "I'm really looking forward to learning and growing here"

Congratulations on signing for Paris Saint-Germain. What made you decide to join the club?

"I quickly realised that Paris Saint-Germain would be my future club and my home. I found that my objectives really matched those of the club. I want to win trophies, championships and the Champions League. And not just for this year, but for all the years to come. So I'm really looking forward to getting down to work and helping the team.”

This is your first challenge away from the United States. Do you feel ready?

"I think I'm ready. One thing I'm proud of is my preparation. I've contacted a lot of friends and colleagues who've made the transition from the US to abroad, I've gathered a lot of information, and I'm coming in with an open and positive mindset. I'm really looking forward to learning and growing here."

Do you know any of the players in the team?

"Yes, I know Korbin Albert very well. We were team-mates at the University of Notre Dame in the United States. She's one of my best friends, and I'm really delighted to have the chance to play with her again.”

Did you talk to her about the club? What did you learn about Paris?

"I spoke to her about it and she told me nothing but positive things. Korbin loves it here and her enthusiasm really made me want to come and play here. She told me it was a challenge, but that she'd grown a lot and thought it would be a perfect fit for me."

Can you tell us about your qualities on the pitch?

"I'm 1.80m, so I'm very tall. I took advantage of that at college to be a threat in the air, both offensively and defensively. I have a good passing range and I'm also able to be very agile and technical on the ball."

What can we expect from your adventure in Paris ?

"I hope to be very successful and win the Champions League. I'm really excited about growing here and doing everything I can to help the team achieve its goals."
