Echouafni: 'Keep getting stronger'

Paris Saint-Germain Women's coach Olivier Echouafni spoke to the press ahead of the Week 16 Women's D1 clash against Montpellier, this Saturday, 2 February at the Stade Jean Bouin at 18:30 CET.

Coach, Saturday's match promises have a big impact on the remainder of the season...
"There are only seven matches left. Now we are entering the final straight and we have to be equal to the task to keep our championship hopes alive. We aren't far behind Lyon. We want to keep in it as long as possible."

Paris won the first meeting this season 3-0...
"It was one of our best performances of the season in terms of our play, our intensity and efficiency. We played very well, but Saturday will be a different match. Montpellier have changed a lot since that match. It's going to be a great game in front of our fans."

The team will be looking to continue a good run...
"It's true, even if we could have got a better result against Le Havre last time out. It was a Coupe de France, and we know there can always be surprises and we didn't want to be victims of an upset. We have to prepare properly for every game and be determined not to drop any points."

How are the players feeling?
"We decided to do a big pre-season at the start of the year. We felt it in the last half an hour against Lille... THere were players on international duty, it was snowing... we needed to adapt to different things... But the aim is that the players are in top form for the final sprint finish. We need to keep getting stronger in the coming weeks."
