Daiane Limeira Santos Silva joins the Women's team

Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to announce the arrival of Daiane Limeira Santos Silva. The Brazil international defender has signed a three-year contract.

After coming through the Kindermann youth academy, the 20-year-old started her professional career at Tiradentes in 2015 (12 matches, 1 goal) before joining Rio Preto (7 matches, 1 goal).

She came to Europe in 2017 when she switched to the Norwegian club Avaldsnes (29 matches, 3 goals), winning the Norwegian Cup in her debut year. Last April, the new Rouge-et-Bleu recruit won the Copa America with the Seleçao in Chile, featuring notably in the 7-0 dismissal of Bolivia in the group stage and contributing to her nation's seventh triumph in the competition.

"I'm very happy to have joined Paris Saint-Germain, it's an honour and an opportunity to be able to join this squad," Daiane Santos said after signing her contract. "I'm still young, and I'll have the chance to improve alongside some really great players. I hope to be able to help my new club fulfil all its objectives."
