Däbritz: 'Can't wait for the season to start'

Sara, how does it feel to be a Paris Saint-Germain player now?
"Of course, I am very proud to play for Paris Saint-Germain and to be part of this team."

You arrived in Paris a few weeks ago. Can you tell us about your experience settling in?
"I have been here now for a weeks and I really have to say that there are many new things for me that you have to get used to at first like the many different languages, English, French. But I really like it here, the team gave me a great welcome, it is also a lot of fun on the pitch and you really can feel that we get better every week and develop us further as we get ready for the start of the season."

How was pre-season training. Do you feel ready? 
"We worked hard in preseason. The training session on the Eiffel Tower alone was very special, especially compared to the regular training sessions. The legs feel a bit heavy right now, but I am convinced that we will be fit and ready for the game next week."

Next week you will start the league. How do you feel about the first game?
« I very much look forward to the start of the season. At the moment we are still in the preseason and we all cannot wait for the season to start. I am of course also very excited to compete in my first match. »

What are your expectations for this season?
« I think that we have great potential in the team. From what I have seen so far, I think that we have a very good team. You can really see that we get better week-by-week, training-by-training; that we come closer together as a team, the spirit of the team is good so, I really expect a lot from this team. I think that we will be ready for the big games and I hope that we will come out on top in the end. We will give everything to achieve this goal."

How do you feel about the Champions League draw anf going to Portugal?
"I am very much looking forward to the match in Portugal. Champions League matches are always something very special. You work hard during a season to have the possibility to be able to play in the Champions League. You can’t really wait for the Champions League to start. »

"Yes!"
