Cruel exit for Chili against Thailand

Chile defeated Thailand 2-0, which was insufficient in order to qualify for the round of 16 of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Christiane Endler’s Chile needed to win by at least three goals in order to qualify for the round of 16. At 2-0, Lara missed a penalty (86’) that would have sent our Parisian and her teammates to the next round. However, it ended with broken hearts as Lara hit the crossbar from the penalty spot.
