Constance Picaud: 'Build understanding'

The Paris Saint-Germain's women's team goalkeeper tells us she can't wait to get started after a difficult 2021/22 campaign.

Constance, after a difficult season due to injury, how are you doing?

"Really good after a year away from the pitch, even if I had the opportunity to play the last game of last season. Everything is going well, my knee is 100%, my body too, and my head is at 10000%. I'm ready, motivated, and I want to have some good times with the team and win trophies."

How was it to meet up with the squad again?

"It was great to see them again and also to meet the new signings, even if I already knew some of them. This training camp is going to allow us to get to know each other better, on and off the pitch."

The squad is now complete…

"Everyone is here, the international players are back after the EURO and a well-deserved break. We're starting a week of work, building up to the season, a week of adaptation, because they need time before getting back into matches. So we'll play with the players available."

You're facing Manchester United on Tuesday. How are you approaching that one?

"The aim is to win and above all enjoy it. At least that's the case for me after quite a difficult year. The aim is also to build understanding on the pitch and get to know each other to have a great season."
