Berglind Thorvaldsdottir: ‘Signing for Paris Saint-Germain was a dream’.

After almost two seasons with the French capital club, striker Berglind Thorvaldsdottir is preparing to leave Paris Saint-Germain. The Icelandic international gave a final interview to our media team, before heading off to her new adventure.

Berglind, how are you? How are you getting back up to speed after giving birth?

‘Everything's going well. I'm getting back into things and I'm working hard to get back in shape and back on the pitch as soon as possible.'

Your adventure with the club comes to an end today, as you embark on a new sporting project. What will you remember about your time here?

‘Signing for Paris Saint-Germain was a dream come true. But my time in Paris has had its ups and downs. The best thing is that I've met some wonderful people on this journey and I'll treasure the friendships I've made forever.’

What are your ambitions for the next few days? The next few seasons?

‘My ambitions are still the same. I want to play, score and make the fans happy. I'm also determined to regain my place in the national team. But I also have personal ambitions, like being the best possible mother to my son.’
