A win and a record broken!

The Paris Saint-Germain women's team won 6-2 against Guingamp this Saturday 5 February at the EAG academy ground in Pabu, in matchday 14 of D1. It was also a chance for Marie-Antoinette Katoto to etch her name in the club from the capital's history once more...

A week after their impressive victory against Lyon at the Stade Georges Lefèvre in Saint-Germain-en-Laye in the round of 16 of the Coupe de France (3-0), the Parisians headed for the Côtes-d'Armor on Saturday. This time, the Rouge et Bleu travelled to Guingamp, then 9th in the D1. Didier Ollé-Nicolle lined up with the same starting line-up as against Lyon.

In the first few minutes of the match, the Rouge et Bleu were on the attack, and their confidence was boosted by their win over OL. Paulina Dudek headed Sara Däbritz's corner at the near post and Grace Geyoro headed in the rebound (0-1, 21'). The German, who created the first goal, then went on to score twice, first controlling and shooting from Marie-Antoinette Katoto's pass (0-2, 28'), then heading in Sakina Karchaoui's cross (0-4, 42'). In the meantime, Katoto had also headed in Sandy Baltimore's corner at the near post (0-3, 37').

After the break, Didier Ollé-Nicolle's players continued at the same pace. After linking up with Baltimore on the left, Kadidiatou Diani was denied twice by Cindy Perrault before finally beating the Breton keeper (0-5, 56'). Katoto then went on to make history with an acrobatic finish from a Däbritz cross (0-6, 67') to become Paris Saint-Germain's all-time leading scorer with 132 goals, one ahead of Marie-Laure Delie. Sarah Cambot (1-6, 75') and Louise Fleury (2-6, 80') reduced the deficit, but the Rouge et Bleu won the match and put pressure on leaders Lyon, who will host Bordeaux on Sunday.

The win means that the Parisians are now level with OL in the standings, with 36 points to their name. The next step for Didier Ollé-Nicolle's players is the reception of Dijon in matchday 15 of D1, this Friday 5 February at 21:00 at the Stade Georges Lefèvre in Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
