A successful Australia Tour for the women's team!

Paris Saint-Germain's first pre-season tour of Australia was marked by intense preparation and a rich cultural immersion. During their stay, the players won the International Perth Cup and had the opportunity to discover the unique atmosphere of Perth, a dynamic and welcoming city.

After arriving in Australia, the Parisians immediately got down to work, taking advantage of the top-class facilities and running daily training sessions under the guidance of the technical staff. This ideal setting enabled the team to fine-tune their preparations before the start of the season.

Off the pitch, the players were able to explore the city of Perth and its cultural treasures through various activities: an enriching visit to the Western Australian Museum, an unforgettable encounter with kangaroos and koalas at the local zoo, walks along the Swan River and in parks, as well as several other outings, offering a unique insight into nature and the region.

The tour was also marked by a number of meetings with Australian fans. The players shared special moments with their fans at several signing sessions and a Fan Event, creating lasting memories for all. Several activations with the club's partners were also put in place, notably with Qatar Airways, strengthening the links with the sponsors of the Paris Saint-Germain Women's team.

In footballing terms, the Parisians brilliantly won their first trophy of the season, the Perth International Football Cup, after beating West Ham (1-0, Romée Leuchter's goal in the 23rd minute) and Manchester City (1-0, Joe Echegini's goal in the 87th minute) in two intense matches. These victories underline the team's good form ahead of the new season.

“The Australian tour was a great success. It has enabled us to prepare in the best possible way for the coming season, in an exceptional setting, while strengthening our ties with the local supporters and partners. The time spent here has given us an extra boost to start the season with great ambition and determination”, said Sabrina Delannoy, Deputy Sports Director of the Paris Saint-Germain Women's team.

Paris Saint-Germain are now preparing for the start of the 2024-2025 season, building on their rewarding tour of Australia. The first official match of the season will take place on 18 or 19 September, in the 2nd preliminary round of the UEFA Women's Champions League.
