A battle for the top awaits Les Parisiennes

Match previews

The Paris Saint-Germain Women’s team will travel to Lyon on Sunday 11 February 2024 at 21:00 at the Groupama Stadium for Matchday 15 of D1 Arkema

It’s THE match that cannot be missed! Les Parisiennes will take on Olympique Lyonnais in an encounter that promises to be lively between the best two attacks and defences in the league. Our Rouge et Bleue, who are currently second with 32 points (1 game in hand) will head to the league leader, who are still unbeaten with 42 points on the board.

Against their rivals, Les Parisiennes will look to continue their good run of performances, as outlined by Elisa De Almeida: “The build-up of matches is tough! We have had a busy month in January. It was difficult physically and mentally too. But we have a squad that allows us to rotate, which has helped us to recover. It’s also good to develop some rhythm. Personally, I don’t mind! I love playing. It can be tiring after a while, but it’s ok. Things have calmed down a little and we have had a good week of preparation.”

Les Parisiennes haven’t been beaten in D1 Arkema since 1 October and the defeat at home… against OL. With a strong unbeaten record away in the top flight (5 wins and 2 draws), they will look to continue this run in Lyon, a stat that hasn’t been ignored by Jocelyn Prêcheur: “It’s of course a special case, but we are also working on maintaining this run. We need to continue. In the past few months, we have set our objectives and areas for improvement. We know that there were plenty of areas that needed work. In this kind of match, the objective is to see if our work bears fruit and if we can put in place what we have worked on in a very intense match, against a very strong opposition. It will also be a good way for us to see where we are at.

The clash between the top two sides in the league can be followed this Sunday from 21:00.
