Yahia Omar will be a Parisian in July 2024

Paris Saint-Germain Handball is delighted to announce the signing of Yahia Omar. The 25-year-old Egyptian right-back will join the Club on a three-season deal as of 1 July 2024.

Yahia Omar began his professional career at the age of 19 with Zamalek SC. With the Cairo club, the Gizeh-born Omar won the Egyptian league (2019), three African Champions Leagues (2017, 2018, 2019) and two African Supercups (2018, 2019).

In the summer of 2019, the right-back was loaned out to Télékom Veszprém before signing a permanent contract with the Hungarian club in 2021. Under his new colours, he won a national championship (2023), three SEHA leagues (2020, 2021, 2022) and three Hungarian Cups (2021, 2022, 2023).

With the Egyptian national team, Yahia Omar won the gold medal at the African Nations Championship in 2020 and finished fourth at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021. The future Parisian was voted best right-back of the competition, with 38 goals scored.
