Viran Morros: 'A good way to prepare for the Final4'
At the end of December, Paris Saint-Germain Handball will participate in the Velux EHF Final4 in Cologne, along with Barcelona, Veszprém and Kiel. But beforehand, Les Rouge et Bleu have two important Lidl StarLigue clashes away to Nantes and Montpellier. Viran Morros gave us his thoughts on what will be a big month of December.
Psg.fr: Is facing Nantes and Montpellier in the space of a few a good way to prepare for the Velux EHF Final4?
Viran Morros: These are two teams at Champions League level. They play at a very high level and that's a good thing for us. It will also be complicated because we'll bon the road for both matches - but that will be the case in Cologne, too. I hope it will help us.

The Final4 is fast approaching! How are you feeling?
I can't wait to be there! It's a competition we all want to win. We've been waiting all season for this moment. It's going to be unusual because there won't be an audience, but it's always special to be there. It's a dream for the club, the players, the fans... We are very excited!
Your semi-final will be against Barcelona. Is that extra-special for you as you used to play for them?
Not really... I know a lot of people in Barcelona, but once the game has started there are no more friends. They'll just be opponents.
Concerning the current season, what is your assessment of your start to the European campaign?
We have had four games postponed, which is a lot. We didn't start well, with three defeats in four matches, one of which was at home. We can't be satisfied with that, but everything remains possible. If we win our games from now on, we can make up for it. We have eight matches left and a lot of points to collect. We are not far off the top two places.
You were planning to end your career at the end of last season but you ended up extending the adventure. How is this 'bonus' season going?
I'm very happy! The opportunity to stay in a club like Paris Saint-Germain Handball is extraordinary! We have a very nice squad. There is a real cohesion. We are very good friends!
It will also give you a chance to play the 2021 World Cup and the Olympic Games with Spain. Are you happy with that?
At the World Cup, we have a complicated group (Brazil, Tunisia, Poland). But I think the team is ready! The Olympics is a dream! I really wanted to participate in the Tokyo Olympics. It will be very special.
