Uwe: Spin-shot king!
Back on German soil for Paris Saint-Germain Handball’s Velux EHF Champions League Round 8 trip to Flensburg (20-27), Uwe Gensheimer shone with a five goals - one of which was voted as the best goal of the round!
Despite seeing his early penalty denied by Benjamin Buric, German international Uwe Gensheimer quickly got his revenge. After the Bosnian 'keeper had parried an effort from Henrik Toft Hansen, the ball fell to Uwe and our right-winger quickly silenced the crowd at the Flens-Arena with a magnificent spin-shot that nut-megged Buric on its way to the back of the net. It was a stunning effort that was duly honoured on Monday with pride of place at the top of the Velux EHF Champions League Top 5 Goals list for the round.
