Uwe rewarded for Kielce performance

Despite Paris Saint-Germain Handball's losing their Velux EHF Champions League quarter-final first leg in Kielce (34-24), Uwe Gensheimer turned in an excellent performance and was richly rewarded.

First of all, the German international had one of his masterpieces selected among the Top 5 Goals for the round. His magnificent spin-shot - from a penalty - bamboozled Vladimir Cupara, once again showing that even in the toughest moments, Uwe's technique is always there. What's more, his goal was the top pick of the Top 5! But it wasn't his only magnificent strike in the match.

These wonderful strikes are just some of his 11 goals form the match (from 13 shots). This stellar performance earned him a place in the Best 7 for the round as well, our left-winger finding success with almost everything he tried, be it from set pieces, on the counter or from the penalty line. The match also saw him score the 700th Champions League goal of his glittering career.
