Uwe Gensheimer: 'Every ball will count'

Uwe Gensheimer: 'Every ball will count'

Psg.fr: What kind of match are you expecting against Kielce, having played them last season?
Uwe Gensheimer: We played a very good first half over there - certainly one of the best in club history (30': 10-22). On the other hand, it was very complicated for them. But there are no easy matches in the Velux EHF Champions League quarter-finals! What's more, their side has changed a bit since last season.

Do you think the Poles will be out for revenge?
They will be highly motivated! They'll want to show their fans that they have improved since last season. We'll have to play with a lot of intensity at all times. Every time we get the ball, we'll have to do something with it, or we'll pay at the end of the match. Every ball will count! For us, the only objective is to qualify for the Final4.

Only Veszprém and Kiel have qualified for the Final4 four times in a row, and now you have a chance to equal that record. What does that mean to you?
It's a stat that shows that our club is one of the best in the world. But to confirm that trend, we'll need to win it.

Raul Gonzalez and Talant Dujshebaev (Kielce coach) know each other very well. Does the style you have been playing this season resemble that of Kielce?
What's for sure is that it will be a great battle between the coaches! It has been a few years since Raul showed that he has his own style, and now there is plenty separating the two coaches' styles. But we know that they share a lot of history, so it will be very interesting.
