Uwe clinches November honours

The Voting for Paris Saint-Germain Handball's Player of the Month award has closed, with Uwe Gensheimer topping the vote and getting the gong for November.

The win comes thanks in normal part to his stunning Velux EHF Champions League performances. With 25 goals in four European outings, the German international played a key role in each of his side's wins, notably terrorising the Flensburg defence in their double-header. After clinching victory 29-28 in the final seconds in the first clash, at Coubertin, Uwe showed all his technical skill a few days later in his homeland, producing an absolutely masterful finish from the tightest of angles to silence the Flensburg fans (20-27).

In Paris, against Szeged (33-31), our left-winger also brought his A-game and bagged a nine-goal haul. His performances since the beginning of December have also been excellent, and he will doubtless be among the nominees for this month's award. Uwe finished the November voting ahead of Mikkel Hansen, Thierry Omeyer, Sander Sagosen and Henrik Toft Hansen.
