Titi shines in the Champions League

On Wednesday evening, Paris Saint-Germain Handball were away to Flensburg in Velux EHF Champions League Round 8 action (20-27). Les Rouge et Bleu benefitted from another stellar performance by Thierry Omeyer, who was voted as 'keeper in the Best 7 for the round

Having a splint on your finger can prove a real handicap in handball, especially for a 'keeper - unless your name is Thierry Omeyer! Against the German club, our 'keeper was in sparkling form, denying the opposition forwards ten times (from 30 shots). Shots from distance, penalty throws, one-on-one duels - the Flensburgers tried everything but only rarely managed to get the handiwork over Omeyer’s goal line. This outstanding performance was duly noted by the powers that be, who named the France legend in the Best 7 for the Velux EHF Champions League’s Round 8.
