The Experts clinch top spot

Already qualified for Euro 2020 following their win over Lithuania two day earlier (17-37), Les Bleus were looking to end their campaign on another high by finishing the qualifying stage atop Group 6 as they took on Romania in Nantes on Sunday. And Didier Dinart's men made no mistake (34-25).

As was the case on Thursday, Paris Saint-Germain Handball right-back Nedim Remili was in fine form, lighting up the court at the Palais des Sports de Beaulieu in Nantes. After bagging an eight-goal haul in mid-week, our player follow-up with six new strikes for his country, co-top coring in the match with Valentin Porte. The two Frenchmen were key players a dominant performance that saw theme side go into the break five goal to the good (30': 19-14).

Utterly focused on the task at hand, The Experts confirmed their first-half domination in a one-way second term. Les Rouge et Bleu's other representative, Luka Karabatic, also distinguished himself in front fo the Romanian goal, finding the back of the net four times. Bronze medal winners in the last Euros, France - without Nikola Karabatic, who is currently recovering from surgery - will have another chance at gold when the tournament throws off in Austria, Sweden and Norway in January 2020.
