Szeged-Paris postponed

Due to several positive COVID-19 cases in the Hungarian side's squad, Paris Saint-Germain Handball's match against Szeged will not take place this week.

Originally, the Parisians were supposed to be in Szeged on Thursday night to challenge the Hungarian giants. But in the end, given the circumstances, the match could not go ahead.

Bruno Martini, Paris Saint-Germain Handball General Manager:
"We would obviously have preferred the match to take place. It was a moment that the whole team had been waiting for since the beginning of our preparation. If a new date is found, we hope that it will not be detrimental to the club. We have been flexible and now we hope that a fair decision will be made. Next Wednesday we will play Flensburg without having gotten our season under way, even though the German club has just won against Kielce at home. This fact, and the entire context leading upon to it, will inevitably make this fixture even more difficult."

As a reminder, the Paris Saint-Germain will begin their European adventure at home to Flensburg on 23 September at 20:45 CET - Paris Saint-Germain Handball's first outing at Coubertin after an absence of over than seven months.
