Six Parisians at the LNH Trophies

On Friday 7 June, at the ParisLongchamp Hippodrome, the annual LNH Trophies ceremony will take place, with several Parisians in the race for the 2018-19 Lidl Starligue Player of the Season award as well las a place in the All-star team.

There are six of them and they have all had an excellent season. The first is none other than Rodrigo Corrales, who turned in several stellar performances in his 22 appearances making no fewer than 155 saves. He notably saved 34 shots against Chambéry (17 in each of their league meetings) - his best performances of the campaign.

Unsurprisingly, in the back-line we find goal machines Mikkel Hansen and Nedim Remili, nominated for best left- and right-back respectively. Both men have played a key role in Paris' holding the league's top attacking record (787 goals in 24 matches): they have bagged 245 goals between them (127 for Mikki, 118 for Nedim) and are both in the top ten of the Lidl Starligue scoring chart. On their left we find our left-winger Uwe Gensheimer. An impressive player with legendary technique, the German international has struck 103 times from 130 shots, giving him a 79% success rate, the highest among the league top 50 goalscorers.

In the role of playmaker, Sander Sagosen has stepped up to the plate, providing 21 assists and scoring 72 goals to earn his nomination. The Norwegian notably hammered Tremblay (23-34) in Round 16 with 8 from 8 before providing five assists in one match against Nîmes (41-29) last week. Finally Raul Gonzalez is in the running to be named Coach of the Season. In his first season in France's top flight, the Spaniard clocked an impressive record of 22 wins in 24 matches (one loss, one draw) on the way to the Lidl Starligue title, clinched in Round 22.

All the players nominated in their respective positions are also in the running for the Player of the Season award, which will be given out at the ceremony on 7 June, along with the award for Coach of the Season.
