Preview: Five things about Toulouse - Paris

On Sunday, Paris Saint-Germain Handball take part in Liqui Moly StarLigue Round 3, travelling to the Palais des Sports André-Brouat to face Toulouse.

1 - INITIAL RESULTS

After their big opening-day win against Créteil (39-31), Fenix had some trouble backing up the promising result when they headed to Limoges (33-31). With a win and a loss, they sit in eighth as their clash with Paris looms.

Les Rouge et Bleu are continuing on the same dynamic as last season, with two wins in as many games: over Nîmes (28-33) and Sélestat (36-23). Along with Nantes, they are one of only two teams to have won both their matches.

3 - DUELS AT A DISTANCE

In individual terms, we should see a nice match within a match between the two goalkeepers. Toulouse's Jef Lettens has made 21 saves and is the most successful goalkeeper in the early part of the season. Parisian Andreas Palicka, meanewhile, is doing slightly better, with 25 saved shots.

As for the scorers, the capital club's defence will have to be wary of Serbian left-winger Nemanja Ilic, who already has 19 goals this season. Elohim Prandi has scored 11 and is our team's top scorer.

3 - SECOND ROUND

Toulouse and Paris have already faced each other this season. The two clubs faced off in the Parisians' first preparation match, in Le Fenix's arena. The hosts won (38-34).

4 - HEAD TO HEAD

This will be the 35th Liqui Moly StarLigue meeting between the two sides. The Parisians dominate the fixture, with 28 wins, four losses and two draws. Their last defeat dates back over ten years (19 October 2011).
