Preview: 5 things about Paris - Créteil

Another derby awaits Paris Saint-Germain Handball on Sunday afternoon - on Matchday 3 of the Liqui Moly StarLigue, Paris Saint-Germain Handball play host to Créteil at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin.

1 - THE TABLE

Les Rouge et Bleu have made a perfect start to the league season. Victors in their opening match at Limoges (37-27), they repeated the feat a week later in the derby at Ivry (34-38). With two wins in as many games, they are now top of the table (alongside Nantes, Montpellier and Nîmes).

The start has been a little trickier for Les Cristoliens. For the time being, they have yet to register a point and have conceded defeats in their opening two matches. After falling to Aix on the first day ofthe season (32-27), they came very close to catching Toulouse (30-31).

2 - KAMIL IS ALREADY SHINING

Having scored 123 goals last season (his Liqui Moly StarLigue record), Kamil Syprzak is off to another excellent start. He is already one of the top scorers in our league, with 17 goals from just 19 attempted shots. Our Polish pivot has a 89% strike rate in front of goal! Créteil's top scorer is none other than Spanish right-winger Mario Lopez Alvarez with 15 goals.

3 - JANNICK IMPERIOUS

Although he did not start against Ivry, Jannick Green already has some very promising statistics in the league. In fact, his fine performance against Limoges alone put him among the league's most effective goalkeepers. With 19 saves (41% of shots saved), he achieved his best score since moving to France last season.

4 - HEAD TO HEAD

This latest derby is undoubtedly one of the classics of French handball, as the two sides meet for the 29th time in the league. Les Rouge et Bleu dominate the head-to-head record with 17 wins to just eight defeats and three draws. But last season, despite a big win, Créteil gave us a very hard time at Coubertin (35-26).
