Preview: 5 things about Limoges - Paris

Paris Saint-Germain Handball travel to Limoges on Sunday, aiming to maintain their unbeaten domestic record and extend their lead at the top of the league table. Find out all you need to know about this Liqui Moly StarLigue Round 21 fixture.

1 - THE TABLE

Seventh-placed Limoges are one of the surprise packages of the Liqui Moly StarLigue this season. Alberto Entrerrios' men are just four points behind Toulouse, the fourth and final club in a position to qualify for Europe. That's enough to keep the dream alive, and give them something extra to fight for against the only team still unbeaten on the national stage - in both the league or the Coupe de France. Limoges will be looking to create another sensation after holding Nantes (34-34) and Fenix (29-29) earlier this season.

The Parisians, for their part, will be looking to continue their superb momentum just days after clinching their place in the Coupe de France final. In an electric Sud de France Arena, Les Rouge et Bleu came from behind to beat Montpellier 32-35, despite missing a number of key players including Nikola and Luka Karabatic, Elohim Prandi, Ferran Solé, Dominik Mathé and Kent Robin Tonnesen. Still unbeaten in the Liqui Moly StarLigue, Raul Gonzalez's aim will be to keep up the pace and build confidence ahead of an all-important week that includes a trip to Poland to take on Wisla Plock in the EHF Champions League play-off round on Thursday.

2 - TWO EXPLOSIVE ATTACKS

After 20 rounds of the Liqui Moly StarLigue season, Limoges and Paris are among the best attacking sides in the league. The capital club dominate the table thanks in particular to the efficiency of Kamil Syprzak, top scorer with 151 goals, but also to Elohim Prandi who, with his 97 goals, is one of the most in-form players this season. Individual players aside, it is the Rouge et Bleu collective lighting up matches with its talent, but the Parisians may well have to work hard to get the better of their counterparts from Limoges this Sunday.

Despite some defensive problems, Alberto Entrerrios' men have shown themselves to be ruthless in front of goal. The fourth-best attacking force in the league, Limoges rely heavily on powerful young left-back Ihor Turchenko. Having arrived from his native Ukraine last summer, the 23-year-old international is one of just eleven players to have surpassed the 100-goal mark this season. The capital club will need to be wary of this threat if they are to win again.

3 - LUC STEINS: ASSISTS MAESTRO

Les Rouge et Bleu have played several crucial matches in recent weeks, but they have been able to count on the talent of Luc Steins, who has raised his game even higher to help his side continue their run. The Dutch international leads the league in assists (121) and has been in superb form, providing his team-mates with 13 goals in each of the capital club's last three games. These matches have all come down to the last detail, against Toulouse (29-29), Chambéry (34-33) and, more recently, Montpellier (32-35). While Paris were deprived of a number of key players, our centre-half played a leading role in guiding Les Rouge et Bleu to qualify for another Coupe de France final at the Accor Arena, against Nantes on 20 April.

4 - Historique des confrontations

Despite their status as a tough out this season, Limoges were no match for the capital club on the opening day of the Liqui Moly StarLigue season (37-27). Led by an unstoppable Jannick Green (19 saves), Raul Gonzalez's men got their campaign off to the perfect start at Coubertin. The win also ensured that Paris maintained their perfect record against the Nouvelle-Aquitaine side. With seven wins from as many meetings, Les Rouge et Bleu will be looking to maintain their psychological advantage by continuing their perfect record.
