Petar Nenadic signs for Paris until the end of the season

Paris Saint-Germain Handball is pleased to announce the arrival of Petar Nenadic as a medical emergency transfer, following the injury to Nikola Karabatic. The Serbian international will play for Les Rouge et Bleu until the end of the season.

Petar Nenadic made his professional debut at the age of 17 in his hometown Belgrade with the team RK Crvena Zvezda. With the Serbian club, the centre-half won two championships and a national cup. In the summer of 2007, Petar moved to Spain and the Liga Asobal, first with Algeciras BM, then with FC Barcelona Handball a few months later.

In 2008, he moved to Hungary, where he stayed for two seasons with Pick Szeged before joining TTH Holstebro in Denmark in 2010. With the Scandinavian team, Petar Nenadic finished top scorer in the league with 170 goals in 32 games. Two years later, the Serbian signed for Wisla Plock in Poland. He then moved to Füchse Berlin in Germany in 2014 for four seasons and was the top scorer in the Bundesliga in 2016.

Finally, in 2018, Petar Nenadic returned to Hungary to play for Telekom Veszprém. With the Magyar club, he scored 803 goals in 208 games and was crowned national champion in 2019, but also a triple winner as he also bagged the Cup and the SEHA League titles.

Petar Nenadic has 78 caps (213 goals) for the Serbian national team, with whom he notably won the silver medal at the European Championship in 2012.

"We are very happy to have Petar join us until the end of the season. The unavailability of Nikola Karabatic meant that we had to reinforce our squad. Petar has the ideal profile, with a proven talent and great experience, acquired in the best European leagues. He will be a precious asset in the pursuit of our various objectives during the second part of the season, and will allow us to always be ambitious on the national or European scene."
Thierry Omeyer, Paris Saint-Germain Handball General Manager

"It is a great opportunity for me to sign today with Paris Saint-Germain. I am very proud to join this team, which has some very talented players in its ranks. I will give my maximum to help our team during these next four months. We have some important events ahead of us and I am looking forward to wearing the Paris Saint-Germain Handball jersey and contributing to the club's success."
