Paris Saint Germain's EHFCL opponents: Fredericia HK
Paris Saint-Germain Handball will once again be competing in the group phase of the EHF Champions League. Among their future opponents in Group A are Fredericia HK.
HISTORY
Fredericia HK may not be Denmark's most famous club, but they are nonetheless a major force in the Primo Tours Ligaen (Danish league). It was in the mid-1970s that the Red and Blacks (then known as KFUM Fredericia) established their reputation, winning five league titles between 1975 and 1979 (the club's only titles) as well as several domestic cups. On the European stage, they reached the final of the Champions League in 1976, losing 17-15 to RK Borac Banja Luka of Croatia.

SEASON 23-24
The Danish hierarchy is not easy to shake, with the likes of Aalborg, GOG, Silkeborg and Skjern all in the mix. However, Fredericia managed to secure a place on the podium last season, finishing second in the league (seven points behind Aallborg). FHK were also responsible for one of the only domestic defeats of the season for the European runners-up (30-29).
KEY PLAYERS
Among the side's more experienced players is Sebastian Frandsen. Unlike most of his team-mates, the 30-year-old full-back has already played in the Champions League - during his two seasons at Porto. Cuban left-back Reinier Taboada, meanwhile, played in the Liqui Moly StarLigue for Dunkerque, scoring 187 goals in three seasons.
Finally, 31-year-old left-back Anders Krach Martinusen broke the league's record for assists in 23-24 with 185 goals coked up for his team-mates.

TRANSFERS
Until this summer, FHK had another former Liqui Moly StarLigue player in James SCott Junior, but the ex-Nantes man has headed to Japan to play for Daido Steel Phenix. In terms of new arrivals, Fredericia will be able to count on the return to his homeland of Mads Kjeldgaard Andersen. The Danish left-winger scored 102 goals last season in the Bundesliga with Bergischer HC. Another important addition is Swedish centre-half William Andersson Moberg. The 24-year-old scored 44 goals with IK Sävehof in the EHF European League last season.
