Paris reign in Parnasse

The match:
Paris made the better start. Excellent going forward, Les Rouge et Bleu were clinical in front of goal and quickly led 2-6 after just eight minutes. But roared on by their home fans, USAM fought back, only to be denied time and time again by the Paris defence and an imperial Vincent Gérard (15’ : 5-9). Nedim Remili stepped on the accelerator, both finishing (20’ : 9-12) and creating for his team (25’ : 11-14). He finished the first half with five goals from five as the side from the capital led by three at the break (30’ : 13-16).

Paris continued where they'd left off after the restart. Nedim fired his team six goals to the good (35’ : 14-20). Raul Gonzalez's side didn't know it yet, but the excellent start to the second half was to prove the difference in this final wash up. USAM through everything into the battle (41’ : 20-24). Vincent was brilliant, perfectly illustrated when he denied Luc Tobie (45’ : 21-25). After withstanding the green onslaught, Les Rouge et Bleu landed the final knock out blows through Kim Ekdahl du Rietz (53’ : 25-29) and a double from captain Luka Karabatic that completed the scoring (60’ : 28-31).

A man in the match: Nedim Remili
Nedim Remili was simply outstanding against Nîmes. He scored ten goals (from 15 shots), equalling his highest ever tally in a Lidl StarLigue match. Out right-back excelled from 7m, putting all three penalty attempts. With 27 goals since the start of the season, he is the seventh highest scorer in the league.

The word: Unbreachable
In a hostile arena, Les Parisiens never trailed at Parnasse. From the first minute they took the lead and were never headed. With five wins from five, they are clear atop the Lidl StarLigue standings.

Coming up:
