Paris and Winia establish long-term partnership

Paris Saint-Germain handball and WINIA, the Korean manufacturer of high-end household appliances, have renewed their partnership for the next three seasons.

"We are very pleased to renew our partnership with Paris Saint-Germain Handball. Since the launch of WINIA in 2020, we have had some amazing experiences with the whole Paris Saint-Germain family. We are proud to establish our partnership over the long term, and to accompany the legendary Paris Saint-Germain Handball team for the next three seasons," said Willy Plaisant, Managing Director of WINIA Electronics.

"WINIA is an exemplary and supportive partner. We are very happy to continue our journey together. With WINIA by our side until 2025, we are committed to the long term to continue to build our team and to shine at the highest level in France and in Europe," added Thierry Omeyer, club legend and Paris Saint Germain Handball General Manager.

This last year of partnership has indeed been one of many successes for Paris Saint-Germain Handball: the team won its ninth French league title, the 8th in a row, improving its own record. The Club also went undefeated in the league this season, with 30 victories in 30 matches. In addition, Paris Saint-Germain will meet Nantes in the final of the Coupe de France.

The partnership will give WINIA significant visibility through stickers and LEDs at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin in Paris, where Paris Saint Germain Handball's home matches are held. WINIA will also continue to benefit from the image of the players and the composite logos associated with the club by using them in their advertising campaigns, as previously in Peru, and on their social networks, in France and internationally.

ABOUT PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL

In 1970, Paris Saint-Germain was officially born. Over the past half century, the Parisian club has become one of the biggest names in world sport. Since the takeover of Paris Saint-Germain in 2011 by Qatar Sport Investment (QSI), the club has undergone a tremendous acceleration, becoming one of the biggest sports brands in the world. Embodying the values of elegance, excellence and respect associated with Paris, its brand proudly bears the name. Since its takeover in 2012 by QSI, Paris Saint-Germain Handball has become one of Europe's top handball teams, winning no fewer than 21 domestic titles and qualifying for the Final4 of the Velux EHF Champions League three years in a row. This is a feat that only four clubs have achieved before in the history of the sport. The team has been strengthened by the arrival of some of the best players in the world such as Mikkel Hansen, the Karabatic brothers and Nedim Remili, and has been able to encourage the integration of young players trained at the club, all of which has enabled the team to break unbeaten records over the seasons.

Paris Saint-Germain, which also includes the men's football, women's football and judo sections, became one of the first sports clubs to invest in the esport world in 2016. The club has deployed offices in Doha, New York and Singapore, strengthening its international footprint. The club's popularity continues to grow and it is now one of the most followed clubs in the world with over 100 million fans on social media. Involvement with children and young people is fundamental for the Club, which has considerably increased the number of initiatives undertaken by its Foundation. Amongst the many projects, the Rouge et Bleu School is a programme that helps children in social difficulty to succeed.
