Nikola Karabatic: 'The perfect match'
Following the 34-29 win over Nantes, Nikola Karabatic, Viran Morros and Raul Gonzalez gave their thoughts on the match.
Raul Gonzalez (Paris Saint-Germain Handball coach):
"We collected another two points but this is a long competition. Tonight everyone in the team played well, the counter-attacks, the defence and the 'keeper, everything went well. I'm very happy with my players."
Nikola Karabatic (Paris Saint-Germain Handball playmaker):
"We were behind early on, mainly due to some technical errors that gifted Nantes some counter-attacks and easy goals. But our defence quickly hit its stride, with Thierry Omeyer making a number of saves that allowed us to get forward and find our cutting edge. After that, we played the perfect match, following the coach's instructions up until just a few minutes form the end when we took our foot off the gas a bit. We're very happy with the win."
Viran Morros (Paris Saint-Germain Handball left-back):
"The match was complicated; we started poorly but Thierry Omeyer got us right back into it. In the second half, the team played very well in attack and defence. We're happy to win this match that was a really important one in the title race. We still have many rounds to play though, so we have to stay focused."
