Nikola Karabatic: 'It's a pleasure to play matches like this'

Check out the reactions from Raul Gonzalez, Luc Steins and Nikola Karabatic after the 35-32 victory over Nantes at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin.

RAUL GONZALEZ (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL COACH):

"It was a real headline clash. Nantes played really well and controlled the match for 45 minutes, both defensively and offensively. We had a lot of problems going forward but fortunately we were able to come back in the last 15 minutes. We have to be happy, because Nantes are a good team. Matches are like that: sometimes everything goes well, sometimes it doesn't. Today, in the end, we won. It was complicated to manage. They were seven goals up. In the last 15 minutes, we had the right mentality. I think that after doing what we did, we can be very happy."

NIKOLA KARABATIC (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL CENTRE-HALF):

"We got a real shock in the first half. At one point, we were down by seven goals. To come back like that against Nantes, who did everything well and defended well, is a huge achievement. It was a mental ordeal for us, but we didn't give up, we kept playing even though we weren't having any success in the first half. It was great to have the ultras behind us and it's a pleasure to play matches like that.

We're still a long way from the end of the season, but we know that losing home games can be critical if we want to be champions. We didn't approach this match as a final, but it was really a first final and we're happy to have won this top-of-the-table clash."

LUC STEINS (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL CENTRE-HALF):

"It was a great gala match. We were really struggling but we kept our heads. We never gave up and that's what enabled us to win. We prepared for 7 v 6 and today it worked. It helps a lot to play at home and to have the fans behind us, who are really incredible here. I think that's also what made the difference today."
