Mathieu Grebille: 'We still have to win the Champions League'
The Parisian coach, Elohim Prandi and Mathieu Grebille gave us their thoughts on the Parisian victory in Cesson - and the eighth Lidl Starligue title that came with it!
RAUL GONZALEZ (COACH - PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL):
"After a very complicated, difficult season, we are very happy to get this championship title. In this championship, you have to be attentive and work every day; we have almost no margin for error. Today was not an easy victory either. With the help of their fans, Cesson got into their game well, better than we did. But little by little things improved. The defence, the quick engagement, the attack, everything went in the right direction. I hope that our fans will be there on Friday to celebrate this title with us."
ELOHIM PRANDI (LEFT-BACK - PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL)
"After winning the Coupe de France, being French Champions is great! For the moment we have achieved two of our three objectives. We still have to push and work during the next ten days to get this last one that we are missing.
I came to Paris to win these titles and I hope there will be more. It has been a very good season in the Lidl Starligue, we have enjoyed playing all these games. I hope that the following seasons will be as good.
Against Cesson, we had a difficult start. But we didn't worry. We continued to play our game. Not everything was perfect but the main thing tonight was to get this title."
MATHIEU GREBILLE (LEFT-WING - PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL )
"It has been a long time since I won this trophy. It's the reward for our work throughout the season. The Lidl StarLigue is a very tough championship and we had to fight hard to finish first. We saw it again tonight, Cesson did not give up. After a difficult start, we had to take things in hand, which we did well. The season is not over, we still have to win the Champions League."
