Mathieu Grébille: "Off to a great start"

Check out what Raul Gonzalez, Mathieu Grébille and Gautier Loredon had to say after Les Rouge et Bleu beat Nîmes 36-33 on Matchday 1 of the Liqui Moly StarLigue season.

Raul Gonzalez (Paris Saint-Germain Handball coach):

"We started the game well, quickly taking a lead of several goals. Nîmes played better and better. We had a bit of a scare, but we managed to make the difference. We have to be satisfied with this result, because we lost to them in this arena last season. We hadn't played here for a long time. The tribute paid to Kiki (Christophe Dubois) was magnificent; he was someone very important to us, and a person adored by everyone. I'm proud to have worked with him. The matches come thick and fast - we'll be taking on Pelister at home on Wednesday, and I think the players will be highly motivated and will put in a good performance."

Mathieu Grébille (Paris Saint-Germain Handball left winger):

"It's always complicated to play against Nîmes, as we saw last season. It was a very intense match, and once again the atmosphere was incredible. Even though we had some difficult moments, we held on and managed to get this first win together. We're delighted to be back at Coubertin; we missed the crowd. Now the season is under way and we're going to have to be ready, because it's going to be a long and busy one."

Gautier Loredon (Paris Saint-Germain Handball pivot):

"We're going to have to raise our game to make things easier for ourselves. It was a real pleasure to be back at home with our fans. We're going to have to get some good rest to get through Wednesday."
