Luka Stepancic: 'A good second half'

On Sunday afternoon, Paris Saint-Germain Handball won away to Celje (32-36) in Velux EHF Champions League Round 13 action. Despite having definitively clinched top spot in Group B before the match even began, Les Rouge et Bleu didn't spare the horses. Luka Stepancic, Raul Gonzalez et Sander Sagosen reviennent sur cette rencontre.

Raul Gonzalez (Paris Saint-Germain Handball coach):

"It's always tough to come here, as Celje are a very fast side who go hard and hit quickly on the counter. They caught us by surprise... But overall we were the better side and we managed to win the match. Everyone had a chance to play, and that's a very good thing. I'm very happy with my team's group stage campaign and super-happy to have locked down top spot."

Luka Stepancic (Paris Saint-Germain Handball right-back):

"We knew before the match that we were assured of topping the group. Perhaps that explains our poor start tonight... Unlike us, Celje needed point to keep their qualification chances alive. But when we started playing at our best, we got right back into the match. In the second half, we were much better right off the bat. That's how we managed to win. We want to cap this group stage campaign with a win at Coubertin, but to do that, we'll have to play better than we did today."

Sander Sagosen (Paris Saint-Germain Handball left-back):

"That was a rally tough match! Celje started off really well, but after that, we managed to lift our game in defence and things took a turn for the better. Our excellent second half earned us the win today. We're assured of finishing the group stage on top of the table, but we still have to win all our matches. Our next one will be at home, so it will be even more important."
