Luc Steins: "We're feeling very proud"
Check out what Raul Gonzalez and Luc Steins had to say after Les Rouge et Bleus' win against Nantes at Coubertin on Liqui Moly StarLigue Matchday 19.
Raul Gonzalez (Paris Saint-Germain handball coach):
"We won the most important match of the season, which is very satisfying. We have retaken the lead in the championship and we also have the advantage in terms of goal difference. It wasn't easy, with an EHF Champions League away game in the middle of the week, but the whole team made an effort and I am very happy with the team spirit. We were solid and effective in all areas of the game, which allowed us to create a gap. We should be proud of this, because The H are a very good team. Now that we have regained top spot, I hope it will motivate everyone to go for the title. We are only one point ahead and there are many matches left, so we must stay focused."
Luc Steins (Paris Saint-Germain handball centre-half):
"I'm very happy that we managed to win today. We're feeling very proud. It was a crucial match in the race for the title. We put in a lot of effort in all areas of the game, and that's what it took to beat this team. We managed the pace of the game, without rushing. There is always room for improvement, but we were able to dig deep and find the solution to stay ahead. It feels good to go into the international break having achieved such an important victory - and with the status of league leaders."
