Luc Steins: 'We always want more'
On Sunday, Paris Saint-Germain Handball kicked off 2024 with a 30-22 victory over Nîmes to book their place in the Coupe de France semi-finals. Check out what Raul Gonzalez, Luc Steins and Ferran Sole Sala had to say after the match.
RAUL GONZALEZ (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL COACH)
"It's been a long time since we've played together. It's good that our return to competition has come at Coubertin. It's easier because we're more comfortable here. We made the difference early on, which is good for our confidence. The Coupe de France is always a special competition. You have to stay focused, because you can't afford to have an off day. We're in the semi-finals now, so we have to take each game as it comes. Now it's on to the championship."
LUC STEINS ( PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL CENTRE-HALF)
"It's good to be playing matches with Paris again. We're happy to have qualified for the semi-finals, but we haven't won the Coupe just yet. We always want more, and we'll see who our next opponent is. We got off to a good start and then controlled the game from start to finish. It's great to be back in competition like this. We need to keep up the same pace in the league."
FERRAN SOLE SALA ( PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL RIGHT WINGER)
"I think we played a very good match. We were very serious and we managed to create a gap quickly. It's nice to be back at Coubertin after such a long absence, especially with a win under our belts. It's a match that brings us one step closer to the trophy. Our aim is to win every title, so it was crucial to win today."
