Luc Steins: 'Looking forward to Coubertin'

On Sunday afternoon, Paris Saint-Germain Handball will take part in Liqui Moly StarLigue Round 16 when they play host to Dunkerque. For the first time in 2023, Les Rouge et Bleu will play at home ground the Stade Pierre de Coubertin. Raul Gonzalez, Luc Steins and David Balaguer spoke to us about this homecoming.

RAUL GONZALEZ (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL COACH):

"Since the resumption, we have been doing well on the road. It's always difficult to get going again after an international competition; several players had to rest after the 2023 World Cup. In these conditions, it's better to return to action on your home court. But we managed to do well, be it against Chartres or Zagreb, and we can be very happy with ourselves."

LUC STEINS (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL CENTRE-HALF):

"The whole team is looking forward to returning to Coubertin and seeing our fans again. We are still in the running in three competitions, so the resumption of the Liqui Moly StarLigue is very important. I hope we can count on the return of some injured players. But against Dunkerque, we will have to give everything, as we did this week in Zagreb."

DAVID BALAGUER (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL RIGHT-WINGER):

"I can't wait to get back to the league! We finished the first part of the season on a good note, with a victory in Nantes (32-33). Now we have to continue our efforts and win all our matches. It won't be easy, but if we want to be champions, we'll have to do it. We have been back at Coubertin for some time, but only for training and without fans. We're counting on them to help us on Sunday!"
