Luc Abalo: 'Everyone wants to beat us'

On Wednesday night, Paris Saint-Germain Handball got the better of Toulouse in Lidl StarLigue Round 6 action (36-30). Raul Gonzalez, Luc Abalo and Thierry Omeyer gave their thoughts after the match against a strong Fenix side.

Raul Gonzalez (Paris Saint-Germain Handball coach):
"We started the match well, especially in defence. We beat a very good Toulouse side! We have a lot of injuries to deal with a lot of matches to play. We already need to focus on the match against Skjern, but before that we will have a bit of a rest."

Luc Abalo (Paris Saint-Germain Handball right-winger):
"Playing at home is always complicated, because teams come here really wanting to get a result against us. We need to stay calm if we find ourselves in difficulty. Toulouse took the upper hand a few times, but we came up with the answers. We're playing a lot of matches right now and I still feel great! Which is a very good thing."

Thierry Omeyer (Paris Saint-Germain Handball 'keeper)
"Toulouse haven't had a great start to the season, but they're a very good team. They haven't lost by big scorelines. We couldn't afford to let them win here; we wanted to remain the bosses here at home. And we did it, thanks notably to an excellent start to the match, which allowed us to build a decent lead. We're playing a lot of matches right now, and we have a few injury absences so we’re using the same lads a lot - but it's going pretty well."
