Les Bleus roll on

France won their second game in as many matches at the 2023 World Cup on Saturday, being Saudi Arabia 41-23.

France beat Poland in the opening match (26-24), so they were inevitably the favourites as they lined up against Saudi Arabia. Les Bleus took the lead very quickly and were ten points clear at the break (30': 24-14) - a lead that Parisians Luka Karabatic, Elohim Prandi, Nikola Karabatic and Mathieu Grébille helped to improve in the second half.

Les Rouge et Bleus' scorers included Mathieu and Nikola at 100% (2 from 2 and 1 from 1) and Elohim, who found the net on three occasions. France duly punched their ticket for the main round of this World Cup, where they will have to continue their strong form, starting this Monday afternoon, when they face Slovenia (also qualified).
