Les Bleus in confident mood ahead of clash with Palicka's Sweden

On Wednesday, the French handball team defeated Hungary, who were without the injured Dominik Mathé (35-32). Here's a look back at Les Rouge et Bleus’ final main-round match.

LES BLEUS IN BOSS MODE

Unstoppable even in a match where nothing was at stake, France claimed their fifth victory in as many matches in the EHF Euro 2024 main round. Guillaume Gille and his staff rested Nikola Karabatic ahead of Friday's summit clash with Sweden. In the absence of the man who recently became the competition's record goalscorer, Elohim Prandi and Luka Karabatic both shone, with a goal apiece.

Without Dominik Mathé, who picked up an injury against Austria, Hungary will now look to end the tournament on a high note when they take on Slovenia in the match for fifth place. For their part, Les Tricolores, still unbeaten at this Euro, will meet Andreas Palicka's Sweden for a place in the final at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne on Friday at 17:45.
