Léo Plantin: 'It's a pleasure to play matches like this'

Check out the reactions from Raul Gonzalez, Léo Plantin and Wallem Peleka following Les Rouge et Bleus' 44-27 victory over Saran in the Coupe de France Round of 16.

RAUL GONZALEZ (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL COACH)

"Everyone got some game time and played well, so I'm very satisfied. It's a different competition, but we've qualified and that's the most important thing. Léo (Plantin) was very effective, he scored with 100% of his shots. The same goes for Wallem, who was very good in both defence and attack. He was very important for us and I know we can count on him. We've just played in the league, the Champions League and the Coupe de France too, so we need to finish the first half of the season well."

LÉO PLANTIN ( PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL LEFT WINGER)

"We knew we had to get into the game right from the start. It's great to play matches like this one. It's good to get some game time and score a few goals. I hadn't played at Coubertin for a long time, so to score in front of that crowd was incredible. It was a good win, but we mustn't forget that there are two games left this year and it won't be easy, either at Saint-Raphaël or Nîmes."

WALLEM PELEKA (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL GOALKEEPER)

"It was the last match at Coubertin in 2023, and it was great to be able to play in front of this crowd and end the year with a win at home. It's nice to be rackig up the matches, gaining experience and playing alongside some very big names. I'm continuing to work towards that. The break will do us good, but we've still got two games to finish the year well, and the aim is to win both of them so we can really enjoy the break."
