Kim Ekdahl du Rietz: 'The first leg was tough'

On Saturday afternoon, Paris Saint-Germain Handball play host to Elverum at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin in Velux EHF Champions League Round 13 action. Before throw-off, let's move on to the second part of our interview with Kim Ekdhal du Rietz.

Psg.fr: On Saturday, you face Elverum. What do you remember from the first leg?
Kim Ekdhal du Rietz: I remember that it was a close game for the whole 60 minutes. We made the difference in the last minutes. I hope this weekend will be a little different. We know it's hard to kill games off...

After Wednesday's match against Créteil (39-26), you will play at Coubertin once more. Are you happy to be back on home turf?
It's good, because it's been two months since we've played there. After a lot of trips across Europe, as we've been doing for the last few weeks, it's going to feel good to stay at home for a while!

You had a very good first part of the season. How are you feeling?
It's true that it went pretty well... But I still have some demands of myself. I want to show even more of my quality, but I feel good.

And this summer, there's the Olympics...
It's a real goal with the Swedish national team. That's one of the reasons I got back into handball. But before that, there's the Olympic Qualification Tournament, where we have to play Germany at home, as well as Slovenia. We'll have to work hard to get there.

You speak a lot of languages. Which one are you learning now?
I'm learning Chinese... I love languages. It's really a hobby for me.
