Kamil Syprzak: "We need to keep up the pace"

Check out what Raul Gonzalez, Kamil Syprzak and Wallem Peleka had to say after Les Rouge et Bleus' 30-28 win over Sporting.

Raul Gonzalez (Paris Saint-Germain handball coach):

"It's the EHF Champions League, so all the teams have good players and I think we controlled the match. When we went five goals up, we slacked off a bit, but we won and that's the main thing. It's important to stay in first place alongside Veszprém. We came back despite our slumps, which is very satisfying. But we've got to move on now, as we face Montpellier on Sunday. We want to stay on top and keep up the pace. It's going to be another tough game. I have the impression that here in Paris, in front of our fans, we can do it."

Kamil Syprzak (Paris Saint-Germain handball pivot):

"We knew it was going to be a physical game. Sporting came here with a lot of confidence, but we're at home and we know it's difficult to beat us here. We always have to stay positive and we controlled the game from start to finish, staying ahead on the scoreboard. We were a bit tired in the second half, but that's normal. We need to keep up the pace. I'm ready to face Montpellier. We know that it's the type of game that creates extra motivation. We're getting ready to play these games."

Wallem Peleka (Paris Saint-Germain handball left-back):

"We were more solid defensively. It was a complicated match because Sporting are a young team with a lot of desire. We were able to find a way to react well and maintain our lead. I think we know how to manage our weak moments better, but there's still a lot of work to be done. We're taking risks, but that can be corrected with time and hard work. We've got another game coming up on Sunday, and we're determined to finish the first third of the season on a high note. We want to continue to please our fans and put in a good performance against Montpellier."
