Kamil Syprzak: 'Both teams were very serious'

Check out the reactions from Raul Gonzalez, Kamil Syprzak and Adama Keita after Paris Saint-Germain Handball's 39-37 defeat by Gummersbach in their pre-season friendly on Saturday.

RAUL GONZALEZ (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL COACH):

"It was difficult to follow up after yesterday's game. We lost, but we played better than the day before. Little by little, the team is making progress. We raised our game today, even if we made too many mistakes in defence. We've still got two weeks to go before competition starts and I think we'll be ready for the first official match."

KAMIL SYPRZAK (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL PIVOT):

"It's difficult to play two matches in two days during preseason, but this kind of match is the best way to prepare. It was a friendly match, but both teams were very serious. There were a lot of goals, which must have pleased the crowd. There are still things we need to improve, but we're working well. We need to keep up the good work."

ADAMA KEITA (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL LEFT WINGER):

"It's true that it's not easy to play today, having played yesterday. But we mustn't make excuses. We were lacking in a number of areas. We struggled in both attack and defence. We were chasing the score throughout the game. It wasn't easy. But it's still early days, so we can still put things right. We're continuing to do what we need to do. We were up against some good opposition today. We know where we stand and we hope to be ready for the first match, which is coming up soon."
