Kamil Syprzak: 'An important victory'

On Thursday night, Paris Saint-Germain Handball won against Flensburg (33-30) in EHF Champions League Matchday 12 action. Check out the reactions from Raul Gonzalez, Kamil Syprzak and Benoît Kounkoud.

RAUL GONZALEZ (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL COACH):

"Flensburg are a very good team. We managed to control the game for 50 minutes, but the last ten were more difficult. We didn't play well, missed shots, lost balls. But, despite all that, we managed to win and that's the main thing.

It's a deserved success that we must be satisfied with before plunging into preparations for our game against Nîmes on Sunday. In the standings, this success allows us to catch up with the leading teams. That means our last few games will see us fighting for the top spots."

KAMIL SYPRZAK (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL PIVOT):

"We played a good game - especially in the first half. In the second half, we did not stay as focused. Flensburg came back in the game, maybe also thanks to our mistakes, so we will have to correct that for our next games.

We're happy to take these two points that are important for us to continue hoping to finish in the top two places."

BENOIT KOUNKOUD (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL RIGHT-WINGER):

"It was a big battle tonight, and we're happy to win in front of our fans. Despite a big comeback by Flensburg, we managed to stick together. It's normal to have weak moments and we know that against this kind of team it can be expensive. But we knew how to score the right goal at the right time to secure this victory.

The objective is always to win all the games so that we finish as high as possible. We'll have to do it again in the games we still have to play."
