Jesus Gonzalez: 'We were able to try a few things out'

After the last match of Paris Saint-Germain's pre-season preparations, Jesus Gonzalez, Luka Karabatic and Benoit Kounkoud gave us their impressions of the 30-34 win over Aix.

Jesus Gonzalez (Paris Saint-Germain Handball assistant coach):
"Today we saw a team that attacked and defended hard. We were able to try a few things out: Mikkel Hansen played as playmaker and that gave us a whole range other possibilities. In defense also we set up several different systems. Overall it was a great match. It is up to us to continue to work on the little things that we still want to improve. "

Luka Karabatic (Paris Saint-Germain Handball pivot):
"It was a good final pre-season game. Aix put some intensity into it and that's what we needed to complete our preparations. We're on the right track. Now we're all looking forward to our first official game. Personally, I am happy to be back with the team after several days of absence."

Benoit Kounkoud (Paris Saint-Germain Handball right-winger):
"After our training match yesterday, there was a little more rhythm today. We really gave it our all against a team that will cause a lot of problems for their opponents this season. We have one more week to work, before we meet Montpellier in the final of the Trophée des Champions, and we will spend it getting ready to start our season as it should be started: with a first title."
