Jannick Green will stay in Paris until 2025

Paris Saint-Germain Handball is delighted to announce the extension of Jannick Green's contract for a further year. The Danish goalkeeper is now tied to the club until 30 June 2025.

After starting his career in his homeland, Jannick Green moved to the demanding Bundesliga in 2014, where he played for SC Magdeburg until his move to Paris. With the Green and Red, the Scandinavian international won the league in 2022, the EHF European League in 2021 and the domestic cup in 2016.

Having arrived in the French capital last summer, Jannick Green has formed a highly effective pairing with team-mate Andreas Palicka this season, both on the domestic stage in the Liqui Moly Starligue and in Europe in the EHF (European Handball Federation) Champions League. Last June, the Paris No.16 added a new trophy to his trophy cabinet - his first in France - when Le Rouge et Bleu lifted a tenth league title.

During his first season in a Paris Saint-Germain shirt, Jannick Green performed extremely well in the EHF Champions League, making 29.46% of saves over the course of the competition. This made him the fourth-best goalkeeper in this statistical category.

With the Danish national team, the goalkeeper won the Rio Olympics in 2016 and the World Championship in 2019. His international honours list also includes a silver medal at the World Championship in 2013 and the European Championship in 2014.

THIERRY OMEYER, GENERAL MANAGER OF PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL

"We are delighted to be continuing with Jannick until 2025. This season, he and Andreas Palicka have formed a very complementary and supportive pair, both on the national and continental stage. So it was a logical step to continue the adventure with him. Jannick demonstrates an exemplary spirit on and off the court on a daily basis, and as such is perfectly in tune with the values of Paris Saint-Germain. We are convinced that he will continue to build on this excellent momentum over the next two seasons."

Jannick Green, GOALKEEPER OF PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL

"I'm very proud to be able to extend my partnership with the club for another season. Signing for Paris Saint-Germain was already an important step in my career. Continuing with this great institution is something really special for me. I've experienced a new championship with a very high level of adversity. I'm very proud of what I've achieved with my team-mates, both in France and in Europe. I'm back for this new season with tenfold motivation and the desire to always give my all for the club, the team and the fans."
