Jannick Green: 'Every team wants to beat Paris'

A few hours before Paris Saint-Germain Handball's match against Chartres, here's the second part of our interview with Jannick Green.

You have recently regained the top spot on the table. Do you think you've clinched the title?

"We are in a good position, but nothing is decided. We can lose anywhere if we're not focused. We showed against Montpellier (38-28) that we are capable of playing excellent matches. We are prepared to play these games. I think that if we apply ourselves, we can win our last games. That's our goal in the league!"

What do you think of the level of the championship?

"It's very good. I was a bit surprised by the physical commitment. Every team wants to beat Paris Saint-Germain Handball. They are always very motivated when they play us. The arenas are often full and it's really nice."

What do you remember about the games against Chartres?

"We've played Chartres twice before, in Chartres. It was very difficult; they are a very good team with great individual players. They are bound to come here with a lot of commitment. If we don't play at 100% from the first minutes, we could lose this game."

How do you feel in Paris?

"I am very happy here. I received one of the best welcomes of my career when I arrived here. I am meeting new people and learning French. I'm always happy to come to training and share moments with this group. If you are happy, you are good and I am happy."

How are you finding the French language?

"It's difficult when someone speaks to me quickly. If they don't talk to me for a long time, I understand. I do my best. I'm still not very comfortable answering in an interview, but for a conversation, it's fine."
