Jannick Green: ‘An interesting challenge'

On Sunday afternoon, Paris Saint-Germain Handball host Créteil in Liqui Moly StarLigue Round 3 action. Check out the second part of the interview we had with Les Rouge et Bleu goalkeeper Jannick Green right before throw-off.

Last week, you won for the second time in two league games at Ivry (34-38). Are you satisfied with your performance?

"It wasn't an easy game. We didn't put in our best performance of the season, but we won. The aim is always to win every game. It's a derby, so it's a bit special."

Sunday sees another derby against Créteil. What kind of game are you expecting?

"Against Créteil, things always go quickly, because they're a team that runs a lot. Just like us. So I think it will be a spectacular match. But once again, we want to win the game."

This is your second season in Paris. What do you think of our league?

"It's very strong. It's difficult because everyone wants to beat us. But that adds to the challenge. The atmosphere in the venues is always magnificent."

How are you feeling in Paris?

"I feel very good. The atmosphere in the team is very good. The other players are great. It's perfect. It's very important for me."

This season, has seen the arrival of Patrice Annonay as assistant coach, who does a lot of training for the goalkeepers. Is that important to you?

"With Patrice, we can work well and specifically on the goalkeeper position. What's more, we can talk to him about his experience and that's a real added value."

How do you see the rest of the season?

"It's going to be a very long season and there are a lot of matches left. But for us, it doesn't matter who we play. What we want is to win. That's the case for the whole team."
