On Sunday, the capital club play host to Chambéry in Liqui Moly StarLigue Round 20. To mark the occasion, take a look back at some of the matches between the sidesand players who have played for the two clubs.

SPECTACULAR IN ATTACK AND DEFENCE

Whether at the Phare or at Coubertin, the matches between Paris and Chambéry are often the scene of some dazzling performances by Les Rouge et Bleu. Mikkel Hansen's splendid performance in 2015 is one of the highlights. At the heart of a tight encounter (30': 16-15), the Danish international found the net ten times in the second half, taking his haul to 14 goals to lead his side to another win (35-27).

While the capital club regularly put on a show in attack, they also produced some fine defensive displays. In 2018, when Paris played host to the club form the Savoy region in Round 12, Rodrigo Corrales proved impregnable with 17 saves (46% success rate). It was a remarkable performance from the two goalkeepers involved in the match, with future Parisian Yann Genty making 15 saves of his own.

A LONG TRADITION BETWEEN THE TWO CLUBS

Over the seasons, Paris and Chambéry have seen a number of players move from one side to the other. After seven years in Savoie, Zacharia N'Diaye was the first to join Les Rouge et Bleu from Chambéry in 2010. In five seasons with the capital club, the left-back won two French championships. During that time, he played alongside Kevynn Nyokas, who made the opposite move by joining Les Noir et Jaune in 2012 after six seasons with our squad.

A true legend of French handball, Daniel Narcisse made his professional debut with Chambéry, before ending his glorious career with the capital club, which he joined in 2013. That same season, Farhudin Melic also joined the Parisian ranks before heading to Chambéry three years later. More recently, Yann Genty joined Les Rouge et Bleu in 2020 after six years in Savoie. The Olympic champion is the latest player to have worn the colours of both teams. After two seasons punctuated by four national titles, Yann joined Limoges, before bouncing back to Saran last summer.
