How our internationals fared

With Paris Saint-Germain Handball's internationals are set to return to training today, let's take a look at how they performed with their respective national teams.

EURO 2024 QUALIFIERS

France

Les Bleus faced Latvia and Italy this week.  Against Latvia, they were solid both defensively and offensively, with 19 goals conceded 38 scored, including five from Elohim Prandi and one from Mathieu Grébille.
Back in France, it was Italy who paid the price for France's good form. In spite of the Italians' scoring 27 goals, France won comfortably 41-27 with more goals from Elohim Prandi.

France have a stranglehold on top spot in Group 8, ahead of Kamil Syprzak's Poland, and will play at Euro 2024.

Poland

The Parisian pivot, Poland's top scorer with his 7 from 8, made a huge contribution to the Polish victory in Italy (29-31). Poland showed their defensive mettle against Latvia a few days later, with only 14 goals conceded (31-14).

 Netherlands

Luc Steins and the Netherlands also finished on top of their qualifying group. Their wins against Belgium (23-28) and Greece (32-26) saw them to finish ahead of Croatia. Parisian centre-half Luc Steins scored two goals in each of these games.

Spain

Spain spent the week contesting the EHF Euro Cup against Denmark, Sweden and Germany. The Hispanos faced Denmark (29-31) and Germany (32-31) and lost on both occasions. And this despite the ten goals scored by Ferran Sole in each of these confrontations, including a magnificent 7m throw that beat Landin.

We now know the 24 teams that will participate in the competition from January 10 to 28 in Germany. The draw will take place on 10 May at 17:45.
